Cops and Robbers
Label: RCA RECORDS LABEL
Nearly every track on the Hoosiers' debut album will remind you of some new wave nugget or 1960s pop classic. Maybe you can't name the exact tune, but it's right there, on the tip of your tongue. Like Snow Patrol, Keane and every other Brit pop band at the dawn of the 21st century, the Hoosiers are skilled postmodernists building three-minute sonic collages from their fave bands: the Cure, the Clash, the Beatles, Duran Duran, ELO, Blur and even the Turtles (who could sue over "Worried About Ray").
